Release 1.8 - EPGP Support & More
Version 1.8 has been released today (Friday May 18th). The following changes are in this release. A few changes which we had hoped to have in this release, such as the ability to customize your primary navigation, have been moved to the next release.
This release is primarily a Rapid Raid revamp, but also contains quite a few other features specifically requested by our users.
Major Features
1. A teamspeak status widget is now available.
2. EPGP Support is now available in Rapid Raid. Standard DKP (Earned - Spent = Current) is still the default. This option can be turned off an on. We have updated all the major instances of the usage of "Earned" "Spent" and "Current" to be "Effort" "Gear" and "Priority" respectively but may have missed a few, so let us know if you find one. You can change your system to EPGP on the content options tab at the very bottom. EPGP is a DKP system that is gaining popularity because it is is more self balancing than many other systems and strikes a nice balance between harcore and casual raiders. More info is available here: http://code.google.com/p/epgp/wiki/WhatIsEPGP_v2
3. FileFront videos can now be embedded. FileFront is less user friendly with their embedding. You will either have to take the "v=927678" value out of their embed code and then surround that in [ ffvideo] and [ /ffvideo] tags or you can past the entire embed code in the post and surround it with the tags.
4. We have posted "CT_RaidTracker (GL Modded) V 2.0 ALPHA.zip" which is a pre-release version of our next CT_RaidTracker so you guys can take a look at it. This version is a fork of another established modded version of CT_RaidTracker. This mod should track bosses better and it supports raid tracking for 5 man groups.
5. The ability to add adjustments has been added in Rapid Raid. You can now adjust using +/- fixed values or percentage values a persons Earned, Spent and Current DKP. This system is very flexible and allows you to apply the adjustment to any of the stat columns (earned, spent or current) and in some cases such as the EGPG decay to apply an adjustment to 2 columns (EP and GP) at the same time. Adjustments can be applied to 1 or any number of members. Adjustments are removed in batches also.
Enhancements
1. There are now edit buttons on the front page guild description and on the announcement posts if you are an admin. You can use these to edit the settings for both or to create a new announcement post. We hope this will streamline the process for new guilds as well as existing guilds.
2. Who's Online is now available as a widget
3. The height of the shoutbox is now user configurable.
4. Colored rows have been added to many rapid raid tables to make it easier to scan a row.
5. The different types of events that can be assigned to a raid are now individually reported on the raid list. You can now at a glance tell how many points were given out for bosses vs. attendance vs. penalties etc.
6. Filters! You can now filter the member list in rapid raid by whatever is the most logical filter for your game. Usually this is "class" but it is different for some games.
Bug Fixes
1. We've fixed a bug in raid imports that was causing hourly DKP to be calculated wrong or not calculated at all.
2. A bug was fixed that was causing an error to occur when a user attempted to remove their signup for a calendar event.
3. Some minor visual bugs in rapid raid pages have been fixed.
4. If a raid is entered without a name it can now still be accessed.
5. The ways in which a raid can be entered without a name have been eliminated or greatly reduced.
6. Various places where HTML should not be allowed, but was, have been fixed. This is mostly a visual issue.
7. A bug which was causing characters who were removed from a guild then readded to a guild to become invalid has been fixed.
8. A bug which was leaving some information in the database from deleted guilds and causing issues for some people has been resolved.
9. A visual bug in IE6 that caused ShoutBox posts to not display properly (they appeared as if they were blank) has been fixed.
Performance
1. A major performance increase has been implemented in Rapid Raid. Individual site performance will increase modestly, but our sites ability to stay responsive under heavy Rapid Raid usage has been drastically improved. Rapid Raid does alot of reporting and we are continually optimizing it.
