nyc01 and nyc03 Vent Servers Moved to Temporary IPs
Two of our servers were under a heavy DDoS Attack in New York: nyc01 & nyc03. As such, their primary IP addresses have been null routed and all servers have been brought up on **TEMPORARY IP ADDRESSES**. We expect to bring the servers back up on their normal IP Addresses Friday morning.
Here are the **TEMPORARY IP ADDRESSES** we've assigned:
nyc01: 72.26.196.29
nyc03: 72.26.196.30
While the servers are running on the **TEMPORARY IP ADDRESSES**, to connect you will need to use the **TEMPORARY IP ADDRESSES** instead of the normal hostname. Once we move the servers back to their normal IP Addresses (again, expected Friday morning), the normal hostname will function again.
Unfortunately, DDoS Attacks are a part of "Internet Life". There isn't anything a Voice Service provider can do to stop them. However, instead of leaving all of our clients down for about 24 hours (the typical "null route" time in a data center), we go the extra mile and brings services up on an alternate IP Address, so while you cannot connect to the normal hostname you are still up and running just under a temporary IP Address.
We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding during this DDoS Attack event.

Service status info is posted on the public homepage of our support site (this site) so that not only server admins, but users, can find the info.

Thanks for the quick response. Will the temp IPs still work after the hostnames are brought back up.
