ANNOUNCE: 3.0 Release Date Finalized & New Hardware
Version 3.0 Release
We will be releasing 3.0 on Monday morning right after the database maintenance completes. I feel the release is ready to go now, but releasing a major release late on a Friday afternoon is bad mojo.
New Web Hardware
We will be moving to the new web hardware December 10th. This requires no intervention on your part unless you are using our domain pointing service. If you are using our domain pointing service you will need to change your A Record to point to 74.200.254.228.
*Do NOT* make this A Record change right now. This change should be made the morning of December 10th. You should see no more than 24 hours of inacessability and in all likelihood you will see only a few minutes of downtime.
We made every effort to keep our existing IP, but due to network architecture in the datacenter were unable to. We will *attempt* to route the current IP to the new hardware temporarily on the 10th, but this method is not to be relied upon nor preferred and an A Record change will be required.
We will be sending out an email to the registered PayPal and Guild Launch account email addresses with info about the IP change.

Is that correct...if you ARE using Guild Launch's service you need to make the change or did you mean if you are NOT using Guild Launch's pointing service you'll need to make the change?
I can understand why I would need to have my domain pointing service change their A record so your sentence is confusing since you are saying I won't have to make the chance since I don't use Guild Launch's domain service?

Essentially: If you are using a full domain (www.GuildName.com) on your site you are going to need to repoint the domain at the new server IP next monday.
The way nearly all of our domains are setup is by setting A-Records on the registrar's DNS server and that information must be updated when the server IP changes. We can't change it on your behalf, only the owner of the domain or DNS server can.
We have a handful of customers who use our DNS server, because they couldn't set their A-Record with their registrar and we will handle the change for them.
If you are using a subdomain on the GuildLaunch.com domain (GuildName.guildlaunch.com) then we will handle everything for you.
