Scheduled Downtime Moved to Thursday 1 Hour Earlier
Greetings,
In an effort to better time releases and our scheduled downtime we will be moving the scheduled weekly downtime to the following:
Thursday 6-7:30am Eastern
This will also allow us to schedule releases for just after this window and if they require additional downtime we will still be in a relatively light usage time instead of moving into the "wake up" user time period.
We can adjust if we have to, but our data indicates this time should be better for most everyone.
We are in the testing phase of a new backup process that will allow us to backup the data as fully as we do now, but will not require us to take the site down. We hope to have it ready by the new year.
Until then we hope that this downtime schedule will better accommodate both our U.S. and non-U.S. users since it moves off some game's downtime schedule in the EU and moves to an hour earlier for the U.S. crowd without moving too much into the late late night raiding time slots.
