Guild Launch News
News Posts are Now Dismissable
News posts that display at the top of the site are now dismissable. If you dismiss them all then none will display at the top of your site. This info is stored in a cookie, so it will be local to each machine you use.

Is it dismissible for each update or for future updates as well. I also dismissed this update but would like to know the next one that you post
And no more talk about cookies this close to lunch!!

The dismiss link dismisses just that item, when we add another one it will pop in and display just that one for you.

I'm sorry if i'm questioning the obvious but... for which widget does this functionality work and where/how can it be activated?

I don't want to worry You, Stephen, but the '1 Update' don't want to disappear for me (which I don't mind, just wanted to test it ).
I have allowed all cookies for both pages: thefangornwoods.guildlaunch.com and support.guildlaunch.com. I'm using Opera 11.50.

Oh, I found the Dismiss link and now it works.
Didn't see it, cause the Dismiss link looked like the continuation of news link.
Is it possible to make it optically separated? Like making it a button or moving a bit to the right or inserting some non-link character(s) / image?

Haha .. I did that too .. clicked the dismiss link by accident thinking it was the link to the further information. Luckily when I came back today, it had forgotten I'd dismissed it
Perhaps what we could do with is a "recent news" link at the top of the page, and it only shows a number next to it in brackets for any new, unread or un-dismissed news items - that way if we accidentally dismiss news we can go back to look at them again.
So happy it is stored as a cookie on one machine only :D. Now on the second machine I figured out what happened when I thought I was clicking the link to the post with the information (not seeing I hit the dismiss instead).
