Application Updates: 'Closed' Status
We have received feedback for a while that Accepted and Declined do not meet all of a guilds application decision requirements. The feedback has been that a third 'softer' response is needed for cases like lack of response, incomplete info, etc.
Today we have released a new Status for applications called 'Closed'. This makes the 3 primary statuses:
1. Accepted
2. Declined
3. Closed
We have added this status as a 'softer' form of Declined. This is useful in cases where you want to clear an app out, but you would like to communicate a softer form of rejection. The sentiments may be:
1. Approved: Welcome to the Guild
2. Declined: Sorry, you don't meet our requirements
3. Closed: We need more information, or it has been too long, feel free to apply again
The functional effect of Declined and Closed are the same. The user can apply again, the app is moved to another folder for later review, etc. The difference is that this type of decision has a unique auto response and a different tone.
Enjoy!
