Guild Launch News
RELEASE: Guild Launch Version 4.0
Release 4.0 - Rank Syncs, Custom Roster Columns & Much More
Major Features
User Application & Account Creation Wizard
We've taken alot of user feedback and observation of user behavior and we've distilled all of it into a completely new user application and account creation process. The new process takes a "Wizard" approach and each screen of the wizard is focused on one task the user needs to complete or one question that the user needs to answer. We haven't added anything so much as we have spread out the user decisions over multiple pages so they can focus on one task on each page. In this way we can give them advice and guidance on each step without throwing a giant wall of text on them. In addition, the user can see a clear indication of how many more steps they have to go through to complete the process.
The new process is all around easier to follow and easier to figure out. It should provide a better user experience and a streamlined avenue for getting people signed up for your site.
Custom Character Roster Columns
The columns for the Character Roster are now completely configurable. You can reorder the default columns, decide whether to display them at all and even create your own columns that users or member admins can fill out. This functionality can be used for tracking keys, attunements or to even create an officer note. The functionality is straightforward, but quite powerful.
Ranks Synchronization with WoW Armory
Every WoW guild now has 11 ranks added to them numbered 0-10. These ranks match up to the 11 ranks available in-game and are used when you choose the "Synchronize Ranks with Armory" option on the Roster Import. These ranks are not deletable, but they can be renamed. This functionality will greatly reduce roster management for those of you who want your ranks to be as accurate as possible. You can still, as always, add more ranks and assign them as you see fit, however subsequent Rank Synchronizations will reset the ranks to the default in-game ranks.
GWBBCode for Guild Wars
We've added an enabled for all sites Guild Wars BBCode. We'll be making an FAQ post about how this functionality works shortly because the syntax is quite involved. This functionality adds a great deal of infromation related to Guild Wars to your guild forums.

"WoWHead Enabled" Script
Due to some unintended interaction with our other item hovers on the site we've had to disable this functionality. I think I have a fix for it so we can reenable it soon.
We've added the WoWHead JavaScript to all sites. You can now put a link in any post and with only the item link have a hover. Like this:
Devastation
NOTE: Unlike our item stats functionality this doesn't work with just the item name. It requires that the link go to WoWHead. It's a great addition to the item stats functionality though and provides yet another way to make item info hovers.
World of Warcraft Crafter Search Enhancements
There is now a "Crafting" tab on the roster page for all World of Warcraft guilds. This page will list your guild's crafters and what their skill level is in each primary and secondary tradeskills. The page then links to the Search page where it will list all recipes craftable in that Tradeskill by that character. You can then drill down to quality, item level, etc.
NOTE: The crafting skill level and items come from Guild Launch Profiler uploads. Users are able to upload their crafting skill level without uploading their crafting items. This can lead to a situation where the character shows on the crafting page, but has no items on the search. Checking the character's profile will allow you to see if the user uploaded any crafting data.
Along with this enhancement comes an additional search feature. You can now type the Tradeskill name (Enchanting, First Aid, Engineering, Cooking, etc.) into the search box and the search will return items in that Tradeskill that meet the other criteria you have selected such as Guild, Realm, or Quality.
Enhancements
Custom CSS Editor (Alpha Release)
We've made some improvements to the look of the editor as well as some of the underlying functionality so the editor will work better.
WYSIWYG Editor
We've upgraded the WYSIWYG editor to the most recent version. This version has a ton of improvements but most notabley it removes a bug where the editor was randomly stripping color and other formatting information.
Guild Description Editing
If you enable the editor that choice is now retained when you save your edits.
Rapid Raid
1. A "Select All" button has been added to the Add Adjustments page.
2. The Character Profile DKP page has had it's ordering for all items changed to include the most recent info first.
3. Ordering on the Members page for EPGP will now be correct for all characters. There were some instances where the DKP (Priority) was correct, but the ordering was wrong.
4. The rapid raid widget now has a Minimum Item Value setting. The default is 0 but it can be set to any number and will allow admins to exclude items that don't meet an item value of greater than or equal to the configured value.
Gender Bending
You can now change the gender of your characters on the character profile screen.
Bug Fixes
* An issue where the forum icon switch would be delayed by caching when testing new templates or enabling new templates has been fixed.
* An issue where the last item in a raid would sometimes not be imported properly has been fixed.
* An issue where more than 2 Badges would not be imported properly has been resolved.
* The selection of whether to show all levels or apply the guild's item level filter is now retained on sorting and paging the character roster.
* The forum posts for Withdrawn applications will now be properly handled if you are using this feature.
