DOWNTIME: Advertising Down - July 23rd 2007
UPDATE: July 24th, 2007
We've moved the advertising server to its new hardware. We decided to move it without any service interuption because the broken images on some of the pages looked pretty bad.
The DNS changes for the server will happen over the next few hours and there should be no changes visually. We expect that removing the ads might improve performance site wide, but most likely will just give us a bit more overhead.
Enjoy!

Downtime
We will be taking the advertising server down on Tuesday July 23rd, 2007. The move will start around 9:00 am Eastern. We will be moving the server to new hardware. We are moving the advertising server to improve performance system wide and to provide room for growth.
Expected downtime is 3-4 hours.
The downtime shouldn't cause any problems with your site and we don't expect to hear any complaints about the advertising not being there. However, there may be some visual anomalies such as broken images or a small "empty" area where the advertising should be during this time.
Enjoy!
