charcter profiler
Information on the profiler is here:
http://support.guildlaunch.com/wiki/tiki-index.php?gid=535&page=Guild+Launch+World+of+Warcaft+AddOns
Currently, the web site only supports guild bank exports from the profiler. If you enable the guild bank the instructions are on that page.
The next release will include ALOT more supported features with our character profiler and we will include more general information on how to use it. The current mod tracks alot more data than the site processes because we wanted to get as much info out of the mod in the alpha as possible and then add functionality to the site, this was done to hopefully decrease the number of new releases of the mod we will have to deliver.

I have a question on this. I know you guys are busy and fast developing on this, but is there a reason why you don't use already existing mods as a basis? RPGOutfitter's plugins already gather a wealth of character data, quild data, item databases and more. There are also a variety of sites out there that can use this data for rostering, and RPGO themselves have a forum section on using this data on remote sites, etc. In addition, I've seen plenty of other sites that have the LUA-> xml output formatted the same as RPGO, with the character layout, etc.
SO my questions I guess are:
1) Why not use an existing mod for this? It seems it would be easier to use an existing technology than develop from the ground up?
2) What's your ETA on getting a better profiler out? I can be patient b/c I can see the effort you guys are putting out, but it's alot harder to keep all 120+ in my guild happy...
3) Will the 'add page' function on my guild site allow for free-form html and text? If so, I can extrapolate my RPG data to do this function for me, or simply load their roster tool in an in-line frame.
Again , not to harp on this, but this function is VERY high priority to my guild's operations and we'd love to be able to use Guild Launh *only* as a resource, but at this time, it's not quite possible to do so.

The reason we don't want to use someone else's mod is because we either have to fork and maintina it anyway, or be beholden to their release schedule. If we say use X version of someone elses mod then X+1 comes out and has some feature we don't even need, our customers still expect us to support X+1. We don't have visibility into their release schedules and we won't know when they are going to drop a new version on us.
All that aside, our Character Profiler is almost done and will be out next week. It is currently our top priority as well and it will support 90% of what RPGO has on their character screens and will support all the core functionality that a profiler needs.

Awesome! I have to say, I'm impressed so far at your comittment to developing this - I feel like my money has been well spent, thank you.

Hello, not sure if this is the right place to post to.. but noticed that the profiler (or the import function on the site) don't support yet Italian servers.. every time I try to upload data from the profiler, I can't see the Italian region on the dropdown menu, and each other zone I choose give me an error
