REQUEST FOR INPUT: Permission Granularity
In Version 4.6 we will be adding the ability to give a permission group more fine grain control of the permissions for the Members tab in admin. We will be adding the ability to seperate the following:
1. View All Settings - Member Lists, Application, Recruiting Settings, etc. but only view
2. Recruiting - can modify the app and can accept and decline applicants
3. Modify - Can change ranks, assign ranks, assign chars.
4. Kick - Can kick members
This will allow you to have members who can assist with accepting and managing new member applications, but who don't have the ability to kick members. This is an ability many people have asked for because they feel that adding members is alot more safe than kicking.
This change will also include a change where any member with Recruiting rights gets a PM when a new application is submitted.
We chose to add fine grain settings in stages, and chose members first because it seems the most needed. What other settings of this type would you like to see in the admin area?

I remember reading somewhere about adding rights to the raid section so people could make raids but not have dkp access.
Is this still on your radar or another option would be to simply, (im not doing the programming), allow groups to be made for the events option.
You have already addressed my query about the member only wiki stuff.
Thanks

Definitely love the changes...and also in agreement the DKP/Rapid Raid changes would be something a lot of guilds would like. For this suggestion I would also like to see different rights PER POOL so that you could give raid leaders a bit more leeway with some pools over others. In our instance we have raid leaders who only lead non-DKP raids...but giving them access means they have rights to the other DKP pool as well. Not that they are any bit less trusting, but I tree to keep so many "cooks out of the kitchen" when needed.
The other rights are very nice as well. In our own guild we have people who review applicants and it would be nice to have them have the ability to accept/decline applicants without having higher privileges. Will the acceptance of an application still allow them to assign the initial ranks even if they do not have the 3. Modify rights? I would expect this to be a yes, just want to verify this is tested, hehehe...since initially people would be accepted as Recruits with minimal rights...but wouldn't want them to have access to everybody's ranks and such...
As always, change is good, hehehe! Keep it up!
