NO POST MODE SPECIFIED - Request for Help
A relatively small number of our users consistently receive an error from phpBB that says "No Post Mode Specified." Regardless of the relatively small number of people it effects it is still too many.
This error seems to be caused by a confluence of issues that we have not fully identified, but the release this morning contained further code to help us determine the cause of the issue.
What do we need?
What we need now is some help from the people receiving the error.
What can you do?
If you receive the "No Post Mode Specified" error from the forums please do the following:
1. Hit the back button on your browser.
2. Right click the page you came from and choose "View Source" or "View Page Source"
3. Copy that full page to your clipboard
4. Paste the full text into an email
5. Send the email to support@guildlaunch.com
Why do we need this?
We currently know that the error happens, but it is inconsistent and we have been unable to find a single machine of our own that the error happens on so that we can identify and test the problem.
We believe that the form that sends the data is being created incorrectly on certain browser. The above steps will help us determine if that is so.
