FIXED: Safari & Other Browsers - Red Links Galore
I've fixed the mysterious issue with the red links in Safari and Google's Chrome. The long explanation is here:
http://www.communitymx.com/blog/index.cfm?newsid=765
The short explanation is that Chrome and Safari have a bug where if a CSS file is not found on the server the browsers include the 404 Error page into the document as if it were the CSS file. Many 404 pages, including ours, have CSS in them that defines links as red, thus leading to red links everywhere.
Clearly, the browsers should ignore content that returns a 404 status code from the server. So, anyway, it's a small bug and the removal of the incorrect reference to a non-existent stylesheet should be done anyway. So, problem solved.
Enjoy!

I'm not sure we can do anything about the Shoutbox rendering on the iPhone other than to detect the iPhone and then not render the shoutbox at all. I have a feeling this is truly a browser issue. I'm definitely looking into the login issues though. I was thinking of getting an iPhone as our "on call" phone anyway, so this pretty much gives me a good reason.
As far as the login bar, the 4.8 note was longer by 10 or 12 characters than most announcements so it just made the top bar taller than it should have been.
