SNEAK PEAK: Upcoming Version 5.2 Additions
In Version 5.2 we will be introducing changes to the "Raid Active" setting in Rapid Raid and we will be introducing Role Based raid signups.
In short we will be doing the following:
We will be introducting a Raid Roster into each pool (or the default pool if you don't use pools) for Rapid Raid. All of your currently active raiders will be added to this Raid Roster in an "Active Raiders" classification. This Raid Roster will from now on determine who is "Raid Active" for a given pool. This way you can clear your 25 man raiders from the 10 man raiders member list if you have them in seperate pools and they are seperate groups of raiders.
This change will also allow guilds that use one pool, but have a 10 Man team and a 25 man team or a Group A and Group B to organize them on the raid roster so that people know what group they are in and who to coordinate with.
The other benefit of moving to the Raid Roster way of doing things is that we will be able to introduce role based auto filling of Raid Signup Groups. When you organize your raid roster you will be able to organize people into any roles you designate. Such as "DPS", "Melee DPS", etc. Then you can assign a person to "DPS" and/or "Melee DPS". Since each person can be in two different roles it allows for very fluid Auto-Filling of signup groups.
With this system when you create a signup group you can designate it to be filled by "Melee DPS" only and another signup group by "DPS". This way your "any DPS" group gets filled by any DPS that is set as such on the Raid Roster, but your melee DPS slots get filled only by Melee DPS. You will also be able to set an Auto-Fill order so your "any DPS" group gets filled before the "melee DPS" group or vice-versa.
These changes will also allow you to create Group A and B raids, and auto fill the signup groups only from players who are designated as being in the "Group B" group on the raid roster. There are alot of possibilities in this functionality.
These additions will add some useful and much requested functionality to signups and Raid Active settings. I think you all will like them very much.
