PERFORMANCE: Poor Peak Time Performance
Recently we upgraded certain hardware to increase system performance. That upgrade was successful and we have increased overall performance, capacity, and system stability.
However, we are still experiencing very heavy mid-day loads that we are currently investigating long term solutions for. The problem is not being ignored and we expect to have this issue resolved before the end of the weekend. Off peak time performance will still be excellent and the peak load issues will be resolved shortly.
We thank you for your patience while we work out the long term solution and we will keep you updated with our progress in this post. If you experience slow site performance please send us an email at support@guildlaunch.com so we can have the additional information to correlate with our own investigation. We take this issue very seriously and are actively engaged in resolving the issue and we are constantly monitoring the site.

We have taken a long look at our system and we believe that yesterday's performance issue was a runaway process on the database machine which caused a cascade of performance issues to occur. We are still working to determine the initial cause of the runaway process. We will keep you updated on the situation. We feel we have a handle on the symptoms of the problem and should it happen again we will be able to greatly reduce any impact to our users and guild sites. In addition, today's release should improve overall performance.
