Guild Launch News
RELEASED - Version 2.8 - Release Notes - Guild Applications
Yeah, I'll look into that. The form that is built is shared among a few different layouts and one of the layouts is thinner. I'll look into making it a bit more dynamically take up space.

Just a few suggestions while I'm toying around with the new application feature. It ROCKS btw.
1. Make a moveup/moveddown selection next to implemented questions so that when we're done with the application we can look at it and say "that question would fit better after question 2," without having to delete everything else to put it there. *EDIT*: I swear there wasn't the option when I first posted this.
2. Multiple selection checkboxes. Example question: What heroic dungeons are you keyed for? Followed by multiple selection boxes for all heroic dungeons.
3. Instruction text box formattable into paragraphs. Currently in the edit box I separate things into paragraphs and applicants are still crit with wall of text. If there's a way to html or otherwise code paragraph separations in, someone please enlighten me.
4. Automatically rejected applications based on certain answers.
Example: Have you read/understood and accepted the guild rules? (Required. A no answer causes the application to be rejected).
5. Allow us to insert instructions mid-way through the application.
Example: 1st section "Tell us a bit about your character" -followed by character related questions. 2nd section "Now tell us about yourself." -followed by personal questions, etc. (Maybe an "additional instructions" box so you don't have to re-code the initial instructions box).
6. Possibly much much further down the road (don't know how hard this is to do), automatically collect demographic information from the application to be in an admin only page or an officer forum post.
7. Again possibly further down the road, collection and recording of other information for Officer/Admin purposes or ability to save/review past applications. (eg. How many hours a week able to play based on application answer. Which officer extended the in game invite etc.)
I know this is a bit much to chew off, and just my passing thoughts, but I'd like to know what everyone (especially you head guys) thinks.

1. If you only have one question, there isn't a move up or down link.
2. Interesting idea....
3. Use <br> for a break and <p></p> for a paragraph.
4. I'll put it on the wish list.
5. Already on the wish list.
6. I'll put it on the wish list.
7. I'll put it on the wish list.
Thanks for the input, I'm glad you like the feature.
