Rapid Raid
Importing XML issues
Ok now thanks to gamegaurd it is not possible to use an addon in shaiya.
Meaning CT_Raidtracker for example, will never work on the clients PC.
Now to improvise I was thinking on going old school.
Write down the times, items, values etc and script it in to an .XML file.
Is there any way for guildlaunch to develop a method to add these events as scripts as they show as XML example, in the raidtracker section of the sites.
Example:
Import raid in XML format.
XML converter to string
Or even better.
A webform
Questions:
Raid
Time started
Time ended
Raid name
Attendees (select raiders)
[NEXT]
Bosskills
Bossname
Time of death
Attendees
Next boss? (optional, will save the info and clear the page for newentry)
[NEXT]
Loot
Itemname
Quantity
Attendee
Time
Raidname
Bossname
DKP cost
Next item? (optional, will save the info and clear the page for newentry)
[NEXT]
(A display of all the inserted raidinfo)
[Modify]
[Confirm and import raidinfo]
Its a bit of coding effort, but it will help out us shaiya endgame players out loads.

The entire Rapid Raid application is already a "web form" that allows entry of the type you describe. Just add the raid on the Add Raid page, then use the Add Event and Add Item options to enter the Boss kill and item data.
There are options to "clone an event" at the bottom of the Raid Details page so you don't have to enter attendees multiple times so for the second boss kill you clone the event and the attendees get pulled over then you edit the event to change the boss. Or you can use the add event button for the second event and use the "Use Attendees from Last Event" link below the Attendees list and pull in the attendees from the previous event in the raid.
I think if you look at the options available you'll find that the data entry part that you outline is already there in a slightly different format and can be used in a very streamlined manner to make it quite fast. Not as fast as using a mod and you do of course have to enter the data, which is unavoidable, but the abiltity to clone events and to use attendees from the last event means there is very little duplicate data entry.
