RELEASE: Version 4.6.1 - Feedback Changes & IE Lightbox
Release 4.6.1 - User Feedback Changes to 4.6 & IE Lightbox Fix
Lightbox Fixed in IE
This release includes a Fix for the JavaScript issue caused by a bug in IE 7 that was causing IE not to render a page with Lightbox and Google Video on the same page. If you see any issue with pages not rendering with a popup error please let us know so we can look into it, though we are confident this will not happen any longer.
User Feedback Changes
* Pruning will no longer prune Stickies. So, in total Stickies and Announcements will not be pruned.
* The Rapid Raid Members list compare function that shows the most recent items will now show the date the item was obtained, will include the itemstats info for the item, and links to the raid the item dropped in.
* The Class name in the headings on the signup page in Rapid Raid has been enlarged slightly and bolded.
* The class icon in the signup groups has been moved to the left for more readability and a less haphazard look.
Caching Changes
* Caching for many widgets has been set back to 5 minutes. We mistakenly increased all widget cache timers to 6 hours.
* The widgets that were supposed to be 6 hours, because they have cache invalidation routines when edits are made have been left untouched. This includes the linkbox widget, the guild progression widget and the linkbox widget. These widgets have very long caches, but when an edit is made the cache is invalidated, so though they are cached they are never out of date. This approach will be taken with more widgets over time.
Other Changes & Bug Fixes
* The Edit Raid page will no longer make it seem as if you can change the raid pool on that page. The "Reassign" function is there on the Upcoming and Past raid list for this purpose.
* The correct guild admin will now be notified when a member leaves their guild.
* The "Approve App" link in the emails for new applications has been fixed
* The login page on the guild site will no longer kick a current member and will not show the error box when no error has occured.

The new lightbox popup image is beautiful. And it worked beautifully on Firefox 2. But now that I have downloaded the new firefox (3), it does not work at all. Nor does it work with the newest IE. I don't have anything funky like flash videos or youtube or whatever on my page either. Here is the page with the problem (though it also does not work in the gallery):

Not sure if this is happening to anyone else, but it is happening to me on two different computers.

It now works perfectly in our testing in Firefox 2, 3 and IE 7 and the most recent Opera and the most recent Safari. Your homepage works perfectly in the browsers I have at hand here at home: IE 7 and FF 3.
When it doesn't work for you, does it link to the image like a normal link would? Are you trying to click the image before the page fully loads?
Also, when you say the newest IE. Do you mean IE8? IE8 is not an officially supported browser yet.
Firefox 3 has been having some caching issues. Try clearing your browser cache.

I mean IE 7, sorry
Hmm, not sure if I was clicking before the page was fully loaded. It would basically take me to the image as if I had clicked to it from the gallery (just the image on a white background).
When I was sure to wait for the page to fully load, it worked fine with IE 7. Haven't tried testing it on Firefox 3 because I'm at work atm.
Thanks for the response Stephen! You rock, as always!

The Fix for IE, to get aroudn IE's bug, was to wait until the page loads to startup the JavaScript for Lightbox. So, if they page isn't pretty much fully loaded it might not be ready to go yet. I'd like to make it load earlier, but I can't do much about IE's bugs except continue to gripe at Microsoft.

Sidebar widgets are still not updating
Who's Online and Last Forum Posts are the ones that I noticed so far.

Malriah, the who's online widget has always had a fixed 5 minute timer. If you are referring to the Who's Online page, then it has not had any changes and is behaving no differently than it always has.
Last Forum posts should be updating fine now for everyone. I removed the code that was causing the issue a little while ago. If you make a post in your forums you should be able to see it immediately, as will anyone else.
