Mid-August Release Sneak Peak
Here are the confirmed features for the Mid-August release: Version 2.1.
This release is scheduled for August 10th.
This list isn't 100% complete, but these items are checked into the code base and will definitely be in the next release.
1. Attendance bar graph and reporting for Rapid Raid. This shows a bar graph of all raiders attendance percentage per event and allows you to compare any two events and set thresholds as well as compare system lifetime, player lifetime and any date range attendance. I think this feature is awesome, personally.
2. HTML Widget. This widget lets you put any HTML into it and uses a new version of our WYSIWYG control to enter the HTML which should reduce errors and allow you some more creative control.
3. Accented characters now fully import from the Armory.
4. We've reworked the Rapid Raid adjustments page to be tabular.
5. Application/New Account/Recruiting vs. Non Recruiting Slight ReWork
We've adjusted the links for "Apply to Guild" and "Create an Account" to be more based on whether the guild is recruiting and whether the person is logged in or not.
Guild is Recruiting, User Not Logged In
If, the guild is recruiting and the person is not logged in they will now be presented with a single form that includes the create account form and the guild application. That one submission will create their account and apply to the guild.
Guild is Recruiting, User *is* Logged In
If, the guild is recruiting and the user is logged in they will be presented with just the guild application.
Guild is Not Recruiting, User Not Logged In
If, the guild is not recruiting and the user is not logged in the link will change from "Apply to Guild" to "Get Forum Access" and they will be presented only with the "Create Account" form.
Guild Is Not Recruiting, User Is Logged In
The user will be presented with no link, since they have an account and the guild is not recruiting.
The guild master will still have the option to directly link any person with a Guild Launch account directly to the application form. This will allow guilds to be "not recruiting" but direct link people to the application for the exceptions that do occur.
6. Calendar Itenerary
The guild calendar now has a monthly itenerary view at the bottom of each page. The left side is a list of the dates, times and titles of all events and scheduled raids for the guild that month. The right side shows each event and raid the user viewing the page is signed up for in that month.
Feature Request
1. The lists for characters and users in Admin are now sortable.
2. Anyone with "Members" security access can now assign unclaimed characters to members.
3. Minimum Earned/Effort, Spent/Gear and Total/Priority values can now be set for rapid raid in admin. If these are set and somone does not have greater than or equal values, then they will be moved to seperate section of the members list. It looks just like the members list but is divided into two section swith a seperator that says "The following members do not meet the minimums set by this guild."
4. Applications are now posted to the chosen forum as a sticky so that announcements can be placed and kept above them as they come in.
5. Multi-Class filters are now available on the members list in Rapid Raid.
6. The PM button is now available on forum posts.
Enjoy!

I think it should be admin rather than all members assigning chars to people. That's my two cents. Either way this is critical and thanks for the response to our requests.

I think I need to clarify something. This is "Members" *admin* access, not "being a member". "Members" admins can accept applications and kick people from the guild site.
At first I was concerned about this feature anyway, but we ran the scenarios for abuse through our minds and we decided while they were there:
1. Does it really matter if someone puts a character on your account? They can't remove the chars, only add them.
2. People with "Members" level security can add and kick characters and members from the guild site, that's a pretty fundamental ability.
3. When someone accepts someone to the guild, wouldn't it be nice if they could also associate the characters?
Number 3 was sort of the one that pushed it over the edge. How annoying would it be to allow someone to recruit for you and accept members and then have to run to the guild admin to associate the characters. That would be a real pain.

The rapid raid imports for accented characters are still in process. Getting the Armory import to be correct was the first step.
