Guild Launch News
RELEASED: Version 2.7 - Top Guilds, Base GP & More
Version 2.7 was released around 3:45pm today. This release contains hotfixes, security updates and a few features. The release is largely "behind the scenese" so it will seem smaller than it really is.
Major Features
Top Guilds
Top guilds are available here: http://launchpad.guildlaunch.com/tools/top_guilds.php
We have added a Top Guilds area to the Launchpad. This page lists our featured guilds and contains an area we call the "Spotlight" guild. We intend to release a monthly interview with a guild master or guild representative and to highlight one of our guilds each month in this area.
In addition, the page lists the top guilds by members, by characters and by posts as well as listing the top guild by members for each game we have in our database.
Our very first spotlight guild is Oyshnir's WarMongers and we have an interview with them available. Check it out on the Top Guilds page.
If you would like to be a Spotlight or Featured guild please email support@guildlaunch.com with the subject "Featured Guild" and your guild's URL in the body of the email and we'll get back to you.
EPGP Base GP Settings
We have added the configurable "Base GP" settings to Rapid Raid.
Data Exports for Member info in Rapid Raid
We have added an Export menu option to Rapid Raid. On this page you can define a template which will be used to generate an export of your members list from Rapid Raid. This feature is only available to our paid guild sites that have Rapid Raid.
The data exports can be used to quickly generate a CSV of the data for use in a spreadsheet program or could be used to generate a LUA or XML or other type file for use in a custom mod or program.
The system is very flexible and very powerful and has samples for the most basic CSV export.
Enhancements
1. Some "look and feel" improvements have been made in the admin area. We updated the layout of some of the forms and we've changed the headings to be a dark grey instead of the orange color. We're using the orange more as an accent as opposed to a primary color as we go forward.
2. The signature generator now correctly reports MP5 and Mana Regen numbers. Previously they were reported as the same.
3. We've improved our internal tools for various task so we can respond even more quickly to support requests and so that we can enter game data into the system more efficiently.
4. We've modified the login bar so the textboxes blend in a bit more with the background. In addition we've removed the "logged in as" text from the header. This should make the page feel a bit more pleasing to the eye.
Bug Fixes
The following have been hotifixed, but they are part of this release:
1. A handful of updates to time display have been made so that they show the converted time properly.
Security Enhancements
Security enhancements and reviews are a part of our continual practice and we always include some security focused changes or analysis in every release.
1. We've increased the auditing we perform in many areas of the site so that we can get more visibility into the actions that people perform. I would go into more detail but I'd prefer people not know exactly what we track. This data is used solely for security analysis.
Enjoy!
Stephen
