Rapid Raid
Questions about EPGP
Ive read lots of things about EPGP and got informed a lot about it. But I really dont know which of the add-ons are used best for this dkp system. Ive tried the CT_RaidTracker but I think CT stopped doing it and the version that I downloaded gives errors each time I change a map. Ive read lots of things about DKPmon and Bidder but I understood nothing how I am gonna use them for EPGP system. I found an add-on called epgp (dkp reloaded) but I dont know if I can use it for Rapid Raid. So long story short I need a guide for EPGP for noobs. Please link it to me if there is already one if not can somebody explain me very clearly because this started to give me head aches.
Are you using DKP at all right now? Do you understand the core concepts of EPGP?
As far as tracking the raids, to start out I would use our version of CT_RaidTracker and import a raid into rapid raid. To get a feel for it. You can download it from here:
http://glmods.guildlaunch.com/gwiki/index.php?page_name=default&gid=68936
Before installing our version delete any CT_RaidTracker mod folders that you have. All you need to do is run the Raid Tracker and use the default EPGP settings from the mods mini-map icon and then assign the values for the bosses when you run the first import. Then edit the Manage Event Types page for those bosses default values in the future. There are videos covering it's usage here.
Once you get a handle on that add DKPmon and Bidder to the mix. There are videos covering those here too. They can be downloaded on that same site linked above. The mods have *alot* of functionality and power when used all together, but do have a learning curve. Using our mods from our site will ensure compatability with Rapid Raid and provide all of the functionality you really need to track DKP. We may be missing some funciton from a mod here or a mod there, but the core DKP and Raid Tracking is fully available on our mod set.
The best advice I can give is to start out just tracking the raids in-game and using the site as your system of record for the DKP. When you have a feel for that add DKPmon and Bidder to the mix.
