New Armory Gear Imports - HOW to Report an Issue
Greetings,
With the new Armory gear imports we are moving from getting one file from the Armory to getting 100s of files from the Armory for each guild. If we controlled both ends of the equation, this would be a pretty simple affair. But, we don't. In addition, while we've tested a few concurrent loads of guild data in development real world concurrency is difficult to simulate and there is not substitute for the real thing!
So, we ask you all to have a bit of patience while we tune our method of getting data. Charaters may be missed, etc. but we'll get it worked out. The best info we can get is a report of "hey I ran an import today, it ran, but missed some characters" then give us a couple of characters that it missed. That will help us focus on finding out why, did we enounter a block, did we run out of IPs for Armory pulls, etc.
Thanks and we appreciate your patience while we fine tune this new functionality.

I just tried to run an import for the first time with the new feature and got a fatal error. I did have all 3 boxes checked, didn't see anything that said this matters, but thought I'd mention it. Here is the error:

*edit* just tried with only the gear imports checked and got the same thing.

We've got a fix for this incoming also. Occasionally the Armory returns improper XML or an error page. After 24 hours the file that was cached that is throwing that error will be flushed and replaced with good XML (theoretically). The fix will suppress the error so the rest of the imports can run.
