Guild Launch 3.0 - Sneak Peak - Raid Pools
I am finishing up the coding and I thought you all would like a sneak peak of this feature. In 3.0 we will be introducing the concept of raid pools to rapid raid in a cleverly named featured called:
Rapid Raid Raid Pools
What are raid pools? Raid pools are logically seperate pools of DKP that are managed, imported, added, signed up for, attended, etc. completely seperately from each other.
The only things that are shared among raid pools are Event Types and Characters eligibility. Attendance, total dkp, spent, priority, etc. are all independent and certain events can be turned off from the dropdowns if they are invalid in that raid pool.
Raid Pools are a major feature for rapid raid and bring rapid raid even further along it's evolution as a top notch DKP management tool. We're very excited about the abilities and flexibility it opens up for guilds.

Just for my own curiosity, with the progression of Rapid Raid do you guys eventually intend to replace RaidTracker with your own home brew Rapid Raid in game mod? It would be awesome if you are.
We're getting close. The rapid raid changes effect alot of the application, so they have to be tested very thoroughly.

Another question I thought of...how difficult is it going to be to go back and put various raids into different pools?
From what I'm assuming is the functionality I am interested in separating our non-DKP raids and our DKP raids so they are separated and no longer combined, so wondering how I would go back to April or beyond and place all our non-DKP runs into one pool versus the other...

Each pool is unique, the only thing shared are the "active" raiders and the events are technically shared (because you can move a raid from one pool to another if they aren't shared it complicates things tremendously) but events can be limited to only show in certain pools dropdowns for selection.
It is relatively easy to move raids from one pool to another. You click a "Reassign" link on the raid list, then choose the pool, then click OK. That workflow is optimized more for the "oops wrong pool" situations, so it will require a bit more clicking than a multiple select type of UI in the case of bulk raid moves, but the bulk moves should only be done once. If we have time we'll do the multiple select UI also.

I sooo hate CTRaidTracker.
I asked my husband for Christmas for a module for DKPmon that would incoporate the NiKarma system of probablistic rolling (roll added to points to determine winner, winner loses 50% of points) and also export data in a report similar enough to ya'lls Raid Tracker that your Rapid Raid would accept the data.

I'm aiming for this week. The release is tested and ready, but we're waiting for the new hardware to be fully tested and ready, which could happen today, so we can move to 3.0 on the new hardware. After the new hardware is "ready" we do some final testing and release. We're in the home stretch either way.

Really lookin forward to this as well, I saw mention of after Thanksgiving, could that mean this week?
