Guild Launch News
Addon Updates - Warcraft 4.0.1 Support & More
Greetings,
I wanted to take a moment to give you all an update on the status of our Addons across various games.
General Addon Support
If your game supports addons, and you see an addon that you like, and you think some of its data or functionality would be useful on your site or useful for us to interact with, then please call that mod to our attention here in the forums or at support@guildlaunch.com.
We 100% support working with mod developers to assist them to make changes to their mods to support Guild Launch and we will make changes (within reason) to Guild Launch to support mods that are used in the community. Starting the conversation is the only way we know if we can make it work.
Warcraft
All of our addons have been updated to support World of Warcraft 4.0.1. There may still be issues so if you see any after the patch hits (when it hits, maybe tomorrow?) let us know.
Warhammer
We are still looking into Warhammer addon updates. The changes to fix them for War changes are much more than for the WoW 4.0.1 patch (which was basically changing a number).
Lotro
We have some concepts for Addons on our drawing board. We'd love to hear community feedback, but please bear in mind that Lotro's addon support is not nearly as mature as other games (yet). There is a great deal of potential here though and we're happy to see Addon support in Lotro.
At this time we literally *cannot*, with the tools they've given, us provide full DKP and item tracking. We can do things with bags and profiles though to varying degrees. So if you have any ideas let us know.
The first mod we've already planned out is one for uploading bank character info. However, due to the limited nature of the mods even that has some stumbling blocks. Definitely a work in progress! If you see a mod out there and you think "I'd like that info on our site" then please call that mod to our attention here in the forums or at support@guildlaunch.com.
Enjoy!
Stephen

Awesome, thanks for keeping us in the loop. For Warhammer, it might be beneficial to wait until 1.4 is released. Which should be either late this month or Novemberish. It is currently being tested on the Public Test Server now. I would hate to see you guys put in all the work to fix the mods, only to have to revisit them again when 1.4 is released.
