Dallas, TX Ventrilo Server Issue
UPDATE: 8:50pm EST
Power in the Dallas facility is being restored, servers turned up and service should be returning to normal. The event in Dallas today was a bit of a 'black swan' event. Due to a power issue in the facility the system tried to fail over to battery backup. Unfortunately, the device that handles that fail over (called an ATS) failed.
The ATS handles power for the entire section of the facility. The ATS handles the entire section of the facility power and isn't like a wire running to a 9 volt battery. Due to voltages involved the repair process was not quick, but it had to be done right.

Our apologies for the outage. We will work to apply credits for the downtime to customer account over the next 24 hours.

UPDATE: 4:30pm EST
It has been determined that a transfer device that switches the datacenter to UPS power during a power failure has failed. There is a backup device in the data center that is being brought online now.
Thanks for your patience. We will continue to update as we know more.

Our Dallas facility is currently offline as a result of a power plant fault. Technicians are on site and working on this issue to restore power to the facility. We will provide you with updated information as it becomes available to us.
Please do not attempt to transfer server locations during this time.
