SWTOR Countdown Widget!
GL_Slater has heard the cry of the people, clammering for the release of the infamous SWTOR Countdown widget. In his infinite wisdom (and with the go-ahead from the development team), he* provides this widget to Guild Launch's users!
*Note: Slater did not actually create this widget. This has been provided by Stephen and the development team. Slater just gets to make the post on the forums.
To install the SWTOR Countdown widget, click the 'Admin' tab of the guild site (for site admins only) in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Click 'Add Widget' under the 'Widgets' category. The widget is named 'SWTOR Countdown', under the 'Countdown Widgets' section.

Awesome!
For some reason the widget appears smaller when the site is viewed with Google Chrome for me. Has huge black bars on both sides (6-7mm on both sides) and in general is smaller and the text is barely readable.
When I view the site in Mozilla Firefox the widged appears slightly larger (~2-3mm black bars on sides).
Any way to fix this?
Would be nice if the widget utilized all that space that's available for it on the sidebar without showing any black bars on the sides, and it could maybe be a wee bit taller also if you ask me.
But anyhow nice to see this countdown widget surfacing, just some small tweaking and it would be perfect

The EU release date was updated some time ago to match that of the US, 20th December ( http://www.swtor.com/news/news-article/20111014-1 ), could you make this update to the countdown widget?
Also, you're apparently using the same (US?) timezone as referance for both the US and EU countdown as only the day value chainges but the hours stay the same between the options. For example it's currently 11:00(am) where I'm from and the countdown widget says 65days and 21hours, meaning the day would chainge at 08:00(am) instead of midnight. Make it GMT for EU or something, please

That announcement was made on Friday at NYCC. We will have an update for the countdown tomorrow. Our designer who does those flash apps is out sick today. Now that they have merged the dates I believe that the time will be U.S. based since it sounds like they are opening all regions at once.

Any news on that? Widget still seems to show the former "US" Release, though a global release date has been made.
The SWTOR countdown widgets have been setup to show the same release time for all relevant regions. At this time there is no definitive info about timing, but we believe that the time will be the same time in all regions Midnight Pacific and that is what the current countdown is time for.
The widget is cached so it may take a few hours to update, but it will update in the next couple of hours for everyone.
If we get any more specific info about timing we will update.
