Guild Launch News
RELEASE: Guild Launch Version 4.2.1
I will be doing a follow on release for 4.2, Version 4.2.1 around 11:00am Today (5/13). This release contains features and enhancements that have been specifically asked for by our users.
Guild Launch Version 4.2.1
This release contains enhancements to the Guild Description, Guild News and the display of the last forum posts widget, the shoutbox and the Guild News dates.
Enhancements
Guild News
The Guild News is now a widget. The widget has been added to all sites that were already showing the Guild News. The widget has been placed in the top content area. The widget behaves almost exactly like the functionality did before, but you can now move the widget around the page.
Other changes include: If you put the widget in a sidebar only the title of the post will show. The title is now linked in the main display also. In addition, the post date has been replaced by the number of seconds, minutes, hours or days ago the post was made. This presentation is more useful than an exact date.
Guild Description
The Guild Description is now a widget. In effect it now behaves like an HTML widget, but it can moved around and will display whatever you have in the guild description wherever you put it.
Last Forum Post widget
The last forum post widget now shows the name of the last poster in the thread, instead of the original poster. In addition, it has been changed to show the number of seconds, minutes, hours or days since the post was made.
Shoutbox
The shoutbox now shows the seconds, minutes, hours or days since the post was made.
A note about the seconds, minutes, hours, days calculation
These calculations are not exact. They are rounded down to the nearest minute, until an hour has passed, then rounded down to the nearest hour until a day has passed, etc.
Forum Enhancements
Strikethrough, Center and Basic Table BBCodes are now available. The BBCode for tables requires some knowledge of HTML to get right, but it is after all writing HTML. So, if you know what you are doing with HTML tables the syntax should be straigtforward. Otherwise you can still use a custom page to have the table code written for you by the WYSIWYG.
Enjoy!

Version 4.2 Release Notes
NOTE: There was a brief minute or two where a field was missing in the database that caused some site errors during this release. I apologize for the inconvenience, we try to make the releases as seamless as possible.
This Version is an enhancement and bugfix release with some smaller features thrown in for good measure.
Major Features
Additional Ventrilo Server Sizes
15 slots and 100 slot Ventrilo servers can now be ordered on the web. If you need a larger server please let us know and we can get it setup all the way up to 400 users.
Improvements to Rapid Raid Attendance Importing
This release contains improvements to the overall attendance reporting functionality of the CT_RT imports. However, it is IMPERATIVE that the person running the raid click the "End" button on the raid before logging out or leaving the raid for things to import as correctly as possible.
Enhancements
Flash Headers
Additional parameters are now available for flash headers. They are: bgcolor and wmode. These will let you make a more seamless overlay using a flash header.
New Forum Icons
The Icons submitted by Footsteps are now available in the Doodad gallery.
Indication of Guild Site Creator
The Member list in admin now indicates who the Guild Site Creator is.
Order Process
We've streamlined the order process to more fully represent our pricing breakdown. There have been no changes to pricing but the options are presented differently so that the system is more clear about what options are in each package and the process of selecting those options is more streamlined. The primary change is that the $6.00 base package price is presented as the only plan. If the user then chooses extra storage and rapid raid those extra features are adjusted and the price adjusted accordingly to match what we previously called "plans". The idea of this release is to make it more clear that the vast majority of our features are in the $6.00 plan and the extra fees are for rapid raid's advanced features and extra storage. We think this presents more clearly the true cost of our service which is quite competitive. There have been no changes to the actual pricing. If you select the same features that our previous plan had then you will end up with the same pricing.
Feature Descriptions
The feature section on our homepage has been overhauled to display our depth of features in a more easily digestible manner.
Rapid Raid In-Game WoW DKP Mod
We now have an in-game mod that allows an export from the Guild Site to an in-game mod. This mod presents a snapshot of the DKP from the time of the export. This is useful for people who want to know the raiders DKP without alt-tabbing.
Rapid Raid Export to Guild Launch In-Game WoW Mod
We've added an export option to output the format for our in-game mod. This functionality was released for Alpha testing last week.
Spotlight Guild Interview Additions
We've added more detail to the spotlight guild interview.
Ventrilo Emails on Subscriptions Tab on User Profile
The initial setup email for Ventrilo has been added to the Subscriptions tab on user Profiles. This will allow users to get the Ventrilo setup email if they do not receive the setup email for some reason.
Calendar Raid Icon Text
The text for a raid name will now display next to the raid icon. This will allow the raid name to contain extra information such as raid group and for users to see it more readily than using the hover on the icon.
Multi-Selection Polls
Multi-Options polls will now show the total number of voters as the "total votes" entry on the display. This number is more intuitive. If you were previously using the total votes to determine proportion of vote given to an entry then adding up the votes for each item will still give you that info. This change will make the percentages more relevant as well for the multi vote polls with many options.
Raid Icons - 10 Man & 25 Man
We've added generic raid icons for 10 Man and 25 Man instances. If you put "25 Man" or "10 Man" in a raid name these icons will display.
Raid Imports for Non-WoW Guilds via XML
The XML definition for Raid Imports is now available for non-WoW guilds on the Rapid Raid "Import a Raid" page.
Bug Fixes
* Guild Banks for Non-WoW guilds will now correctly allow the addition of money to the bank.
* Some valid URL characters have been added to URL detection in the BBCode. This will keep those URLs from rendering as a blank spot.
* The session expiration issue on the Forum Index Page has been resolved. Your session will now be restored properly when visiting the index of the forums. This should reduce or remove completely the need to periodically refresh when you return to the site if your browser has been open for a while.
* Hourly attendance should now correctly be tracked in most instances. Keep in mind that Rapid Raid hourly attendance still traks the user as being in the raid from the first time they enetered to the last time they left. In other words it does not do partial hours if a person is in a 4 hour raid for the first and last hour only then they will show as being in the raid for all 4 hours. We hope to add this later, but the current method should work for most guilds just fine.
* An issue that would allow applications to be submitted when they shouldn't be allowed has been resolved
* An issue where users couldn't edit the value on the character profile if the permission was set to "Admin & User" was hotfixed last week.
* Custom pages are set to a chosen site page "Group" when you create them. The "Custom" option was not available when creating a page and thus the Widget display settings for not displaying, or displaying, on a custom page were not working as user's expected them to. Custom pages are now defaulted to the "Custom" group. Existing custom pages will remain as whatever group you have set.
* An issue where alts were not being correctly set back to normal characters when their main was removed from the guild, or deleted entirely, resulting in the character not being properly displayed on raid pages has been resolved.
* Custom pages were erroneously putting a double slash in their URL. This was mostly a visual issue, but it is now resolved.
* We've fixed certain cases where IE was rendering forum posts too wide and causing a horizontal scrollbar to show. This fixes a specific instance where signatures were incorrectly making the forum too wide. Making sure that images in general are not too wide for the display area of the forums is still up to you.
* An issue causing calendar events to drop of the calendar early has been resolved.
* An issue where special characters were not being stored properly if entered for Forum Names has been resolved.
* An issue that was causing poll permissions to not be available for granting to a group has been resolved.

I'll have Vicki look into the missing icon, and yeah I just went ahead and used your 10 man and 25 man icons. They looked good, conveyed what we needed and matched the other icons effectively.

Yeah, I went into their creation to match the other icons and get across the notion of a random/generic 10 and 25 man raid. Using the same colors, style, even using the ? from WoW icons to keep it grounded in the aesthetic.

The link to the In-Game DKP tracking mod appears to be broken in the right rail.

I'll go look for a thread on it.

I can see why this is nice for some people, but personally, it's really cluttered up my layout and made the calendar a bit of a mess. Is it optional?

Enjoy!
