Guild Launch News
CSS Sample File
Quite a few people have asked about the CSS upload capability. Today we uploaded the first of a series of sample CSS files. The following file is a sample CSS file that has many of our CSS items already in it and commented out, you can then uncomment what you want and change the CSS properties.
NOTE: Be careful with this capability, you can't "hurt" your site, but you can make it look like garbage. Also, you are somehwat on your own when it comes to CSS, we will certainly help you, but our support does not extend to teaching you CSS as much as I would like to do that.

just a thought? is there or can there be a CSS reset button maybe? where if you do screw it up it can be reset back to default?
The delete button is the reset button. You don't actually modify our css, you just load yours in addition to ours. Then with the way CSS works, your file loads last and the browser takes what it says if there is a conflict. Anyway, lots of CSS "cascading" stuff is going on, but in the end "delete" the CSS you upload and it is reset.

Good Info!
If you view the source of the page, such as this one, you will see a line that reads like this:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://support.guildlaunch.com/guild/forums/templates/neoIron/neoIron.css" type="text/css" />
You can take the http://support.guildlaunch.com/guild/forums/templates/neoIron/neoIron.css part and stick it in a browser window and download it and use it.
The exact file name will be different per template.

I was messing around and uploaded a style sheet from our old web site ... now I can't get rid of it. I read the above post but there doesn't appear to be a delete button (as there is with all the other fields).
Any help would be appreciated.

I appreciate the feedback but it didn't work.
To be more specific about what I did:
Within the Advanced Mode on the Guild Application form (under Guild Recruitment), I cut and paste an html page directly into the "Add Application Instructions" box. This page shows but seems to have taken over the entire form. There is no delete button for it and blanking out the box or replacing it with other code simply gets me an error page. There doesn't seem to be anything I can do from the interface I'm using.

Ok, that's not related to the CSS at all.
I cleared out the Application description for you. The application instructions will accept HTML, but just pasting a bunch of stuff from Word or some other editor will have unpredictable results. Keep the HTML simple and it should go in there fine.
