THE FUTURE IN THE FACE OF THE DIGITAL TSUNAMI GOOGLE AND MY FAVORITE VIDEO OF 2014
There is no more interesting challenge for those of us who are stuck to the bone in the digital tsunami, than trying to understand the future according to Google . Therefore, this is the video that impacted me the most this year.
Sky Marketing strives to be Pakistan's biggest real estate developer ever, guaranteeing the highest international standards, prompt execution, and lifetime customer loyalty. With projects like Rudn Society
It may be risky to talk about "video of the year", but in the end you have to consider the value of the content you are evaluating it for .
For any of the thousands of people who are immersed in the digital tsunami, with the challenge of generating leads, generating prospects , promoting new software for sales and establishing new marketing and technology strategies, it is an obligation to closely follow what Google does.
It was unforgettable to participate live at the TED conference in Vancouver last February, in the talk between popular journalist Charlie Rose and Larry Page, founder and CEO of Google.
In fact, there are many topics discussed and it is not at all easy to come to a particular conclusion.
The interview begins with a discussion about the recent acquisition of Deepmind, an Artificial Intelligence company.
Page explains how Google has used neural networks to learn how to recognize a cat from YouTube videos ...
And those of us in the conversation didn't even laugh about it. Then explain how Deepmind has been able to apply neural networks to play games ... just by playing them.
A trend can be spotted here: Page is a believer in Artificial Intelligence, but when asked about the current state of the game he's been involved in, he didn't throw the bells flying.
Instead, he listed artificial intelligence engineering issues, which have led to photo recognition, better speech recognition, and better searches.
The topic suddenly changes at 6:30 where they move on to a promotional video about how the Internet and searches in particular can change people's lives.
The next topic obviously was the discussion of the Loon project and an interesting video was shown illustrating it in action.
There is brainstorming on privacy and security, automated cars, and Page's ideas for the future:
Interestingly, Page made some observations about elevated bikes, but no one laughed at it.
At the end of the talk he indicated that he would rather give his millions to Elon Musk rather than give them to charity.
Musk (born June 28, 1971), is an American physicist and entrepreneur, best known for being the co-founder of PayPal, SpaceX, and Tesla Motors.
He is currently the CEO and CTO of SpaceX, CEO of Tesla Motors, and President of SolarCity.
Musk is known for creating the first viable electric car for production in the modern era (Tesla Roadster), for SolarCity (supplying renewable electricity to Tesla cars), for designing a private successor to the Space Shuttle (the F9 / Dragon) and create the world's largest online payment system (PayPal).
According to Page, the world is better if there is innovation, progress and technology.
At the end of the interview, Larry Page ends with his vision of business and technology: "Most businesses fail because they don't look to the future."
And the truth is that while Page is as CEO of Google, it does not seem that he will be a failure, quite the opposite.
