VISITING LONDON LIKE A SMARTIE
It's hard to imagine a more diverse and exciting metropolis than England's capital city of London, which sits on the banks of the mighty Thames and divides the town in half.
Seeing the sights of London is an all-encompassing, intense, and enlightening experience. Its squares, streets, parks, museums, markets, and neighborhoods (both bohemian and exclusive) all captivate visitors, as do iconic modes of transportation like the black taxi and the "London Bus," which have become London's global symbols, as well as its renowned Underground system, which was the world's first and most comprehensive metro system.
Cultural and leisure options are endless in London, which includes the best museums, musicals and ballet, and restaurants from all over the world. Indian food is particularly notable because of its effect on English culture.
You'll see Trafalgar Square, Oxford Street, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Sloane and Bond Streets, and The City. Walking around the city's beautiful gardens and parks, where Londoners gather and unwind, is a must-do in London.
The markets of London, including the well-known "Portobello" and "Camden Town," are without a doubt one of the city's most fascinating attractions.
Virtual Reality (VR) has prepared a tour that includes all of the places highlighted! Oxford and Windsor, two of the country's most historic cities, will also be on your itinerary. Complementing London's intensity and magnificence, the "Cotswolds," a series of distinctively English hills known for their shops, markets, small towns, and pubs, can provide some respite. Following your time in Oxford, you'll head to Stratford, the birthplace of William Shakespeare, before continuing to Bibury, a great starting point for exploring the Cotswolds, Bath, and finally Stonehenge, a world-famous megalithic monument.
ADVISED ITINERARY
Day 1: London.
Transfer from the Airport to your hotel in a chauffeured vehicle.
In addition to the Tower of London, you'll get to see the Crown Jewels and take a river cruise, passing under some of London's most famous bridges and spotting some of the city's most iconic landmarks. A scenic drive through the city's oldest district, dubbed "the City," includes photo stops at St. Paul's Cathedral and Tower Bridge. You can either stay at the hotel or go to an exclusive restaurant recommended by VR in Chelsea or close to Bond Street for dinner.
Day 2: London & Oxford, England
You must leave London (1-hour 30-minute road trip) to get to Oxford.
Oxford's colleges and universities, some of which are open to the public and boast a well-deserved reputation, are a significant draw for visitors. With its spiral staircase and quadrangular patio, Christ Church is one of the most notable schools. We will also visit Oxford's museums and the Thames-side parks and gardens. Lawrence of Arabia, Lewis Carroll, and CS Lewis, among others, were all residents of Oxford.
Day 3: Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon, and Oxford again
On the other hand, Stratford is well worth a visit (one hour and fifteen minutes from London). Stratford-upon-Avon, located in the centre of England on the banks of the River Avon, is best known for the sites linked with William Shakespeare, England's most famed and essential playwright. The Royal Shakespeare Company maintains its offices here, as do five of Shakespeare's historic homes, including the one where he was born.
Day 4: Oxford and Bibury
Take a one-hour drive from Oxford to Bibury. We recommend a trip to the Cotswolds from here. You can have a lot of fun and cherishable memories.
Day 5: Bicester | Bath
One of Europe's most beautiful cities, Bath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Great Pulteney Street, the Pulteney Bridge across the River Avon, the Royal Crescent, and the greenery of Royal Victoria Park are just some of the over 5,000 architecturally significant structures in Bristol.
Day 6: Stonehenge-Bath-Bath
Visit Stonehenge in Wiltshire County, England, about eight miles north of Salisbury, a Bronze Age cromlech-type megalithic monument.
Day 7: London – Bath
Drive back to London. A 2:20 minute journey. It's going to be your final day in London, and you may do whatever you want with it! A city tour includes stops at interesting and historic bars during the night.
Day 8: Fly back to the United Kingdom
Take a Chauffeur service and comfortably transfer back to Airport. Recommendations are to contact WestweyRide who delivers a comfortable, prompt and affordable service for Hotel and Airport transfers in UK.
The intensity and magnificence of London may be experienced at any time of the year. However, the city is more enjoyable in the spring, summer, and fall. Walking around London is a great way to see the city, although the winter months (November through February) may be cold and hostile for those who want to do so.
