In this course, students will explore various career choices for English majors and become familiar with curricular emphases and department faculty. Students will participate in academic campus events such as lectures, colloquia, and symposia, and PSYC FPX 3210 Assessment 4 Developmental Stages of Washington Family Members reflective, written assignments. The course may be taken three times for credit.
This class is an introduction to the genre of creative nonfiction, including personal essay, memoir, literary journalism, travel writing, segmented essays and literary/cultural analysis. Students will study a wide range of historical periods, and focus on the craft of writing informal essays that represent diverse perspectives and issues. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1150 or equivalent.
