Damn the term Rig is geeky!
Anyway, I need a new one, been looking through overclockers and wondered is there any option to build your own, do they build and send to your spec? Any more info ya fancy giving me on the site would also be great.
Thanks team!

Hey Ist, I just built my first "rig" today. So now its confirmed i'll be playing TOR :-)
Got all the parts from Overclockers too.
Depends on how much you want to spend though.
I posted on the Overclockers forum with a budget and got some specs. Guy with the name of Stulid seems the most respected, so any build he suggests is likely the best one.
I found their pre built systems lacked a little in the graphics dept, so adding in a better card just bumped up the price.
Only took me a week from start to finish building my new machine :-)

Yes there is Ist but hey have some good pre builts there also.
To give some indication as to what will max it I play it maxed at work on a 2.8ghz C2D and a GTS 450 with 3gb RAM and thats with a fuck ton of beta monitoring going on in the background and obviously being beta a not wuite fully optimised client.
Runs smooth as silk even at present on my lappy i7 740 460 gtx and 8gb ram.

Hmm.. i just realized i need to setup a bootcamp Windows on my new MacBookPro; will most likely have the power to run the game with pretty much full settings.
Ive played mmo´s on laptops for about 6 years now and i just find it easier; when i try to play on my bros table computer the screen looks too big and the keyboard is too wide :D

Is it a complete new PC you need, or are you using any of your old components?
If it is for SW:TOR I reckon you could get everything sorted for £500 but if you are thinking of playing some other games you might need to add to that figure.

If you touch Vista you deserve all of the pain and torment you will get, Windows 7 all the way....
The rest I agree with..

But bits and build yourself mate - best way. You will end up with something great for a lot less than if you bought prebuilt generally.
If your not sure on actually putting it together yourself, if you still live in Swindon i can build it for you, im only in Highworth.
